Sandra brings the highest level of experience and personal service to the organization and its clients. That experience includes more than fifteen years in public accounting and tax, and another fifteen years in the private sector working with a wide range of companies from start-ups to companies with revenues of $500 Million. She has held positions of Controller, CFO and COO, giving her the wide range of knowledge to understand every business’ needs.

Sandra’s 30-year career in accounting and finance includes expertise in creating accounting policies and procedures as well as providing direction in all phases of accounting department management and operations. In addition, she has worked closely with a variety of industries including retail, construction, high-tech, entertainment, legal, restaurant, telecommunications, manufacturing and non-profit.

Prior to starting Hara CPA Professional Services, Inc., Sandra was CFO/COO with Toyotalift, Inc. in San Diego, CA. She was responsible for overseeing both the financial and operations of five locations including two sites in Mexico. Sandra also held the position of Domestic Tax Manager for World Exchange, Inc. a Fortune 500 Company, headquartered in San Diego, CA., where she was responsible for all tax compliance for the US, Canada, and the UK. She got her start in the private sector as the Controller for Pure-Flo Water Companies of Santee, CA. Sandra received her audit experience from the International Public Accounting firm of Leventhol & Horwath, LLP. She also worked for various public accounting firms in San Diego including Lypsey, Millimaki & Company, LLP, which specialized in real estate and construction entities.

Born in Michigan, Sandra moved to San Diego where she received her Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Accounting as well as completing various Master’s level courses in tax from San Diego State University.

Jon

Jon D. Oxidine, CPA, MSBA
Specialty: Accounting Policies and Procedures

Jon brings experience, a cross-functional skill set and strategic thought process to meet the special challenges faced by small and large businesses. As a consultant and trusted advisor Jon brings a practical approach to assessing the issues and managing the process to achieve solutions as efficiently as possible, focusing on the most important details while maintaining overall perspective to the task at hand.

Jon started his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen in San Diego and since has been involved in various accounting and finance roles. A licensed CPA in the state of California, Jon has a unique educational background. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Redlands, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a double major in Economics. Jon then earned his Master of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University, and also attended the Institute for Economic and Political Studies at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.

His combination of education and experience allow Jon to assist a diverse group of clients with all their business needs.

Marianne

Marianne Greene, CPA
Specialty: Real Estate, Biotech, E Commerce, Manufacturing & Tax

Marianne is a seasoned accounting and tax professional with over fifteen years’ experience in both public accounting and industry. She has a proven track record as a problem solver, including successful representation of entities under audit by Big Four accounting firms as well as the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing authorities. Marianne is adept at researching and interpreting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and is experienced in ensuring that an organization’s policies and procedures are in compliance.

Marianne began her career with Ernst and Young, LLP in San Diego, where as a member of the Entrepreneurial Services Group she performed the audits and prepared the tax returns of many of the firm’s pre-IPO clients. During her tenure in public accounting, she developed a broad tax knowledge in various industries, including real estate, insurance, and healthcare.

As Tax Manager at Medtronic, Inc., an $8 billion Fortune 500 company and leader in medical technology, Marianne successfully petitioned the abatement of a $1 million dollar tax penalty.

At Fairfield Residential LLC, one of the largest multifamily residential real estate builders, investors, asset and property managers in the U.S. with assets totaling $7 billion, Marianne managed the annual financial audits of approximately 100 joint-venture real estate partnerships which rolled up to the parent company. As Audit Manager, she was responsible for communications and coordinating deliverables between internal accounting and tax departments and independent audit and tax firms, including Deloitte, E&Y, and KPMG.

At BAE Systems NSS, a leading global defense, security and aerospace company whose revenues exceed $34.4 billion, Marianne streamlined the sales and property tax compliance process to take advantage of on-line filings and to avoid costly late fees and penalties.

Marianne is a graduate of San Diego State University.

Michelle Polfer, CPA, Quickbooks Certified Accountant and Tax Supervisor

Michelle handles a wide range of responsibilities for client companies. Those responsibilities include everything from preparing and analyzing financial statements to tax planning and tax return preparation. Michelle has worked with software companies, biotech companies, law firms, architectural firms, construction companies, real estate partnerships, consulting firms and non-profit corporations. In addition, she has handled transitions of privately held companies being purchased by public companies, supervising the integration of accounting records with the new ownerships.

She works with many accounting, tax and financial reporting systems, including MAS 90, Platinum for Windows, Peachtree, FAS, FRx, QuickBooks, Epicor, TimeSlips and Lacerte as well as outsourced payroll systems, including ADP, Paychex, Administaff, Gevity & Emplicity.

A native of the Yosemite area, Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Loma Nazarene University.

RicardoRicardo Rodriguez
Staff Accountant

Ricardo Rodriguez has a background in tax for Individuals, S-Corps and Non-Profits as well as experience in Tax Planning, AR, AP and Payroll Processing. His specialty include small to medium size businesses and use of tax and accounting software such as Quickbooks, Lacerte and MAS 90.

A native of Oceanside, California Ricardo received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting where he was an active member of the Student Accounting Society. Ricardo is also fluent in Spanish.

Ricardo’s Philosophy: “When you’re working with a corporation or an individual, you’re not just entering numbers. You’re analyzing their whole tax situation keeping the opportunity of tax reduction in mind.”

BriannaBriana Bouffard
Staff Accountant

Briana Bouffard has a wide-ranging skill set and experience that encompasses everything from tax return preparation and planning to AR and AP processing as well as payroll processing and month-end closes. In addition, she works with companies wanting to incorporate and streamline their accounting needs . She is well-versed on accounting and tax software including QuickBooks, MAS 90, Lacerte, and payroll processing systems such as ADP and Paychex.

A native of Costa Mesa, California, Briana received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, where she was an active member of the Student Accounting Society.

Briana’s Philosophy: “People say, ‘You’re an accountant..you work with numbers.’ Well, yes, I’m an accountant and, yes, I work with numbers. But really, I work with people.”
